Access to some of the technical settings for your account depends on whether or not you are using Register.com's Domain Name System Servers (DNS Servers). If you use Register.com's DNS Servers, then you can modify this information online by signing into your Account Manager and selecting the domain name you wish to make the changes to from the main menu. Click on the link “Edit IP Address (A Record)” from the ADVANCED TECHNICAL SETTINGS menu. Once inside you will be given the option to direct your domain name towards the IP Address (A Record). Additionally you can direct multiple subdomains (ex: www.exampledomainname.com points to 123.45.6.789 & shop.exampledomainname.com points to 98.765.4.321). This will open a page on which you can add, edit or delete an IP Address (A Record). Click the appropriate button to edit, add or delete IP Addresses (A Records) for your domain name. Doing so will generate an editable list of all of the IP Addresses (A Records) associated with the domain name. You may make the necessary changes, and then click Continue to apply them. Click Continue again to confirm the changes. If you do NOT use Register.com's DNS Servers, then you need to contact the DNS Administrators of the Internet Service Provider, (ISP) or Web hosting company that manages the DNS Servers currently listed for your account.
